CAMERON PHILLIPS, LCMHCA
CEO & Founder
-
I help teens, adults, families, and professionals navigate the spaces where growth is ready to happen — the transitions, the stress, and the in-between. Through therapy that blends reflection with practical tools, I help people build awareness, structure, and resilience as they move toward a more grounded, purposeful life.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years working in schools and youth programs, mentoring teens, managing teams, and creating spaces where people felt seen and heard.
Over time, I noticed how many people were carrying heavy emotional loads without a safe place to set them down. That realization inspired me to pursue a career in counseling.'
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina.

I believe people have an innate capacity for growth, even in environments that don’t feel supportive. Like an acorn that sprouts in a gutter, we often begin growing in places that were never meant to sustain us. With the right conditions, safety, connection, and support, that same acorn can become a strong, rooted oak.
Therapy, to me, is about creating the environment where your growth can happen.
I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach, meaning:
You are the expert on your own life.
I am here to listen deeply, reflect honestly, and walk with you.
We focus on what’s strong in you, not just what hurts.
Growth happens one intentional step at a time.
My role is not to direct your life, but to sit beside you, like a passenger holding the map, offering guidance, perspective, and support as you navigate where you want to go.
You set the direction. I help you stay grounded, aware, and connected to your own capacity to grow.
-
Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about creating space for you to reconnect with what matters and move forward with clarity and purpose.
I take a non-judgmental and collaborative approach, offering honest questions, real conversation, and a steady presence.
Together, we’ll focus on awareness, self-leadership, and emotional resilience, moving at a pace that feels safe but forward.
-
Most people come to therapy because something isn’t working anymore, they’re tired of holding it all together, unsure of where to start, but ready for things to feel different.
My role is to help you slow down, make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, and build tools that actually fit your life.
I help clients move from self-criticism to self-awareness, from emotional reactivity to balance, and from disconnection to genuine confidence. Together, we explore patterns, name what’s hard, and strengthen the parts of you that are ready to grow.
Whether you’re navigating stress, anger, or uncertainty about who you’re becoming, our work focuses on helping you reconnect with clarity, steadiness, and purpose, one intentional step at a time.
-
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m someone who values community, growth, and showing up with integrity. I care deeply about helping people make sense of their story and step more fully into who they’re becoming.
You’ll usually find me outdoors in nature or at the closest body of water, working on my hobby farm, spending time with my family, cooking, staying active through fitness, or listening to music.
