A Note From Our Founder
Hi! I’m Cameron Phillips.
I’m a mental health counselor based in Raleigh, North Carolina. I work with people who are navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, identity questions, or life transitions. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, feel supported, and start to reconnect with yourself.
Before I became a therapist, I spent years working in schools and youth programs. I mentored teens, managed teams, and helped create spaces where people felt seen and heard. What I noticed again and again was how many people carry a lot without ever having a place to set it down. That experience continues to shape how I show up in therapy—with consistency, care, and a deep respect for your lived experience.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University and have been practicing for three years. My approach is rooted in relationship and shaped by evidence-based tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and strength-based support.
I specialize in working with men, fathers, and teens (14+) who are dealing with anger, emotional regulation, or the pressure to always keep it together. Whether you’re stepping into therapy for the first time or picking it back up after some time away, I’ll meet you where you are and walk with you from there.
Out of Office…
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m someone who values community, growth, and showing up with integrity. I care deeply about helping people make sense of their story and step more fully into who they’re becoming.
You’ll usually find me outdoors in nature or at the closest body of water, working on my hobby farm, spending time with my family, cooking, staying active through fitness, or listening to music.
Therapy with Growing Edge Collective, PLLC. is collaborative, practical, and focused on what matters most to you. I use a mix of evidence-based tools to help you better understand yourself, respond to challenges, and move toward the kind of life you actually want.
You can expect:
A calm, grounded presence
Honest questions and real conversation
Space to slow down and make sense of your thoughts and emotions
A focus on clarity, self-leadership, and emotional resilience
